Balaiah to head Nandi Awards panel

HYDERABAD:
The State Government has announced the Nandi Awards Committee with veteran actor M. Balaiah, as its chairman and the Information Commissioner K.V. Ramanachari as Member-Convenor.
Ten others were named as members of the Committee to select films released in 2004 for the Gold, Silver and Bronze Nandi awards apart from evaluating art, commercial and documentary films. Children's films and books on cinema will also be judged for the awards.
The 10 members are veteran actor Kaikala Satyanarayana, actress Jayasudha, producer-director S.V. Krishna Reddy, writer Akella Venkatasuryanarayana, senior journalist Nadimpalli Seetharamaraju, Ajay Vincent, N. Gopalakrishna, V. Prakash Rao, Udaykumar and Sanjay Kishore. The awards will be announced by the end of February and given away on Ugadi Day.
