Bajaj Auto posts higher sales
NEW DELHI:
The total sales of two and three wheelers of Bajaj Auto in August have risen to 1.87 lakh units from 1.40 lakh units in the same month last year. Exports have increased by 75 per cent to 23,752 units from 13,575 units in August 2004. Sales of motorcycle sales in the first five months of this fiscal stood at 6.87 lakh units, a growth of 41 per cent. Overall, two-wheeler sales, including scooters, saw a growth of 33 per cent at 7.43 lakh units from 5.59 lakh units in April-August last fiscal. However, three-wheeler sales for the company have been almost flat this fiscal. It has sold 98,678 units in April-August '05 period against 95,577 units in the same period last fiscal.
