VIZIANAGARAM: On the first day of filing nominations on Thursday, 14 candidates belonging to the Congress, the TDP and Independents filed their papers for various wards in the town. The administration here opened eight counters in the municipal office for receiving nominations. The TDP and the BJP filed two nominations each in Parvathipuram Municipality, the Congress five, the TDP two and Independents two in Bobbili and 16 in Saluru Municipality in the district. Former MP and TDP poll observer for the district K. Ram Mohana Rao released the first list of candidates for 12 wards at a press conference in the morning. DCC president K. Ravi Babu released the second list of names for nine wards in the town.
