SALEM: The Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (IED) will conduct a month-long training in food preservation and manufacturing for unemployed youths including women here between September 5 and October 4. Those who passed Plus II can apply for the training, according to a press release from the IED. The training will enable entrepreneurs to set up refrigeration plants. The course will be conducted at Alagappa Institute Campus at 5/278, Junction Main Road, Five Roads, Salem.
Field visits
Candidates belonging to SC and ST categories will be trained free of cost. Other candidates should remit Rs. 500 as the course fee. Arrangements will also be made to take the candidates to the refrigeration plants in Krishnagiri and to the Union Government's Research Centre in Mysore.
Guidance on loans
Those willing to start industries will be provided guidance on bank loans, loans from Government agencies, Government subsidies, incentives and licences. Classes will be conducted on how to maintain accounts, nuances of import-exports and business administration skills. Services of qualified faculty will be used. Details can be had from the Alagappa Institute Campus.
