Handicraft expo begins

KOCHI: Handicrafts and handlooms from Andhra Pradesh are on show at the Kanaka Damodar Hall. A variety of saris including Pochampalli tie and dye, cotton and silk, Mangalagiri dress materials, Gadwal pure Zari saris, Narayanapet and Siddipet cotton saris, Venkatagiri cotton, Kalamkari bed sheets, Bathick, applique work, and other handloom items are on display.

On the handicrafts front, Hyderabad pearl jewellery, aluminium oxidised items, mirror embroidery items, Kondapalli, Ettikoppeka fancies, Varanasi wall hangings, leather puppets and lamp shades, are on show.

The show will be on till September 15.
