Congress welcomes probe

BANGALORE: The State Congress unit has welcomed the Supreme Court directive to conduct an inquiry into allegations of irregularities in the sanction of loans by HUDCO. The allegations pertain to the period when BJP general secretary H.N. Ananth Kumar was the Union Minister concerned.

Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, KPCC general secretary V.S. Ugrappa, alleged that Mr. Kumar committed irregularities in the sanction of loans of over Rs. 14,500 crores.
