Construct Deputy Commissioner's office soon: Yuva Janata Dal

DAVANGERE: The district unit of Yuva Janata Dal has urged the district administration to take measures to construct the Deputy Commissioner's office at the earliest.

Umesh Patil, working president, in a statement said that Rs. 16.50 crores released by the Government for the construction of the Deputy Commissioner's office has to be utilised by December, after which it will expire.

]He said that Deputy Chief Minister M.P. Prakash had also directed the district administration to ensure that the amount is utilised and the office is constructed as soon as possible.

Mr. Prakash has reportedly asked the Deputy Commissioner to meet the Advocate General and seek his suggestions to clear the stay on the sites earmarked for the construction of the Deputy Commissioner's office.

Mr. Patil appealed to the district administration to construct the office near Davangere Urban Development Authority office on P.B. Road, where lands are reserved.
