Prime Minister's visit: traffic diversions in city

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police have made certain traffic arrangements in view of the visit of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on September 2 evening.

No traffic will be allowed in front of the Legislative Assembly complex on September 3 morning.

Till Dr. Singh leaves the LA Complex, vehicles going to the National Highway (NH) and M.C. Road through PMG and Pattom areas will be diverted through the Asan Square-General Hospital- Pattoor-Pallimukku-Kannanmoola- Medical College-Ulloor route. No traffic will be allowed on the Sasthamangalam-Vellayambalam route on September 2 evening. Dr. Singh is scheduled to attend a function at Indira Bhavan around 7.15 p.m.

During the period, vehicles going from Sasthamangalam to Vellayambalam will be diverted through the Kochar Road-Idapazhanji-SMC route.

Vehicles going from Vellayambalam to Sasthamangalam will be diverted through the SMC-Idapazhanji-Kochar route.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive at the international airport on September 2 afternoon. Till he reaches Raj Bhavan from the airport, vehicles will be diverted from the NH to East Fort and Thampanoor through the Pattom-Marappalam- Kuravankonam-Kowdiar-Golf Links-Pippenmoodu-Sasthamangalam- Idapazhanji-SMC-Vazhuthacaud-

Mettukada route.
