Power shutdown

There will be no power supply in Jogi Colony, St. John's Medical College staff quarters, Maruthinagar, Dollars Scheme, Wipro Ganesha Complex, Old Madiwala, part of Tavarekere, BTM 4th Stage, Central Silk Board, Hosur Main Road and surrounding areas between 12 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday, according to a press release from Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Ltd.

Inspection

Mayor R. Narayanaswamy on Friday will inspect the work on Swami Vivekananda statue near Ulsoor Lake. He will be accompanied by the swamijis of Ramakrishna Mutt, Ulsoor.

Classes

Elected

The Bangalore Trades Association in its 104th annual general meeting elected Machander Pishe as its president and N. Planaiappan as vice-president. Bhoopalam P. Srinath was elected honorary secretary and N. Vansanthakumar as honorary treasurer. Mr. Pishe who has been re-elected for the 15th year will also have a four-member executive committee.
