Letters to the Editor
This refers to the report "A gentleman-judge speaks out" (Sept. 13). I have personal knowledge of the lifestyle of many renowned nuclear scientists in the Department of Atomic Energy, Kalpakkam. A director, specialist in fast breeder technology, used to move around on an old cycle. Once it was lost and he lodged a complaint. A security policeman commented jocularly that no one would be able to ride the cycle and that the thief would leave it somewhere. Indeed, it was found discarded on the roadside.
