Investigate charge

The claim made in the book The Mitrokhin Archives Volume II — the KGB and the World that the Congress and the Communist Party of India received funds from the erstwhile Soviet intelligence agency is shocking. The allegation should be thoroughly investigated.

The Congress and the CPI have denied the allegation. If the charge is indeed false, the parties should sue the author for criminal defamation and not just hope the story will die down.
