Timely

The editorial "Roadblocks to judicial appointments' (Sept. 20) is timely. The people concerned should take note of all the points raised therein to uphold the great tradition of our independent judiciary. It is very important to prevent politicians from interfering in judicial appointments.

Executive interference in everything that is important is the order of the day. But the judiciary should necessarily be insulated from politicians.
