A fiesta to display talents

CHENNAI:
Aathmann '05, an inter-collegiate cultural event was conducted by the Department of Visual Communication, Madras Christian College, last week.
The theme for the event was folk. More than 550 students attended on the first day.
Winfred Chelliah, Coordinator, Self-financed stream, and Rajagopalan, Course Coordinator, inaugurated it.
The off-stage events were face painting, cartooning, advertising and photography.
Anita Raj, Signtalents Advertising agency judged the advertising event.
The on-stage events included Mime, Media Quiz and Adaptune dancing. SRM college of Arts and Sciences won the first prize for their theme of patriotism.
The off-stage events for the second day were T-Shirt designing, creative writing, pen sketching and painting with fingers. The judges for the off-stage events were photographer, Raja Ponsingh and Trotsky Maruthu, Visual effects artist.
The on-stage events for the day were Role Play, Street theatre and Folk Dance. The judge for the off-stage events was Pralayan, a street-theatre artist.
The guest at the valedictory function was graced by lyricist Pa.Vijay. national award winning lyricist. The overall championship was bagged by SRM College of Arts and Sciences.
