Liquor shops to be closed on October 2

CHENNAI: All the retail vending shops of Indian-made foreign liquor, bars attached to clubs and bar permit rooms/additional bar permit rooms in hotels in Chennai district will be closed on October 2 on account of Gandhi Jayanthi Day, a press release from the Chennai Collector, S. Chandramohan, said.
