Fond of old Hindi songs? Manna Dey is in city

CHENNAI: Fond of old Hindi numbers? Manna Dey is in town! An evening of old melodies by the legendary singer has been organised by Cows and Birds Feeding and Welfare Trust in association with Century Ply Boards India Ltd., on Friday, at Kamarajar Arangam at 7.00 p.m.

The 84-year-old Manna Dey, known for his versatility, has sung several hit numbers during his five decades of service to the film industry. Dey won the Filmfare award for `Aae bhai zara dekh he chalo' from the film `Mera Naam Joker'. He was also given the Padma Bhushan title this year for his contribution to the field of music.
