Merit list submitted

CHENNAI:
Following the announcement by the Justice S.S. Subramani Committee, the TNPPCA-HS submitted the merit list to it with an explanation that it had followed its guidelines on the conduct of the CET.
An association statement said it assured the committee that the CET 2005 merit list would be released on its website (www.tancohs.co.in) on Thursday.
Enquiries show that over 770 seats remained vacant in the Government quota seats after counselling in paramedical colleges in the State.
Tamil Nadu has two Government-run and 34 unaided nursing colleges with a total of 1,800 seats (including 875 in management quota). Two seats remained unfilled in government quota. There are two government and 24 unaided colleges offering the Bachelor of Physiotherapy with a total of 1,700 seats (including 850 in management quota).
Under the government quota, 422 seats are vacant. Two government and 31 private colleges offer B.Pharm course (total intake 1,670) where 266 seats are vacant under government quota. Of the 100 seats under the Bachelor of Occupation Therapy, 86 seats are vacant.
