TNEB office shifted

CHENNAI: The TNEB office of the Assistant Engineer, Saidapet (West) that was functioning at Door No.1B, Bazaar Road, Saidapet, has been shifted to No.23, West Street, Raghava Reddy Colony, Ashok Nagar. The new office will be open to the public from Saturday.

Power cut

Power supply will be suspended between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday for maintenance work in parts of Periamet, Arumbakkam and Pudupet.

Blood donation

The Rotary Club of Madras Perungudi in association with Rotaract Club of Prof. Dhanapalan College for Women organised a blood donation camp at the college premises on Wednesday. 62 units of blood were collected.

Training programme

ABK-AOTS DOSOKAI will be organising a one-day training program on "TPM for shop operatives" for the successful implementation of 5S. The programme will be held at the centre on October 8. For more information contact: 2374 0318, 2374 3575.

Principal honoured

N.Vijayan, principal and correspondent of Zion Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Selaiyur was honoured during the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Air Force Association held recently. Air Chief Marshal S.Krishnaswamy (Retd.) felicitated him for his services in the field of education after his retirement from the Indian Air Force.

World Elders Day

As part of the World Elders Day, Hamsadhwani will conduct a free blood sugar and pressure check up for its members and non-members on October 1 from 8 a.m.

The venue: Youth Hostel, Second Avenue, Indira Nagar, Adyar.

Eye screening camp

The Hindu Mission Hospital, Tambaram conducted a free eye screening camp at Kasturibai Nagar, Tambaram on September 28, wherein 113 persons were screened. Fifteen of them were referred for IOL surgery.
