Shekhawat leaves on three-nation visit

NEW DELHI:
Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat left here Saturday on a three-nation visit to Romania, Belarus and Aremnia. Four MPs Chandan Mitra, K. Jana Krishnamurthy, P.K. Maheshwari and Robert Kharshing are accompanying him.
Mr. Shekhawat is scheduled to return on October 8.
He is visiting Romania at the invitation of Nicolae Vacaroiu, president of the Senate and during his three-day stay he would meet the Romanian President, Traian Basescu and other senior members.
The vice-president will visit Belarus from October 4 to 6 and would meet the Belarusian President. During his visit, he would be signing an agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters between the two countries.
Mr. Shekhawat would reach Armenia and during the three-day stay would address the special session of the National Assembly of Armenia.
