Shastri, Rajiv chairs in Delhi varsity

NEW DELHI: The Union Human Resource Development Ministry has instituted two new chairs in the names of the former Prime Ministers, Lal Bahadur Shastri and Rajiv Gandhi, to promote the study of ethics and governance, and management of innovation in Delhi University.

Directive to UGC

The Ministry on Saturday asked the University Grants Commission to implement the order.

The institution of the Lal Bahadur Shastri Chair in the Political Science department will also mark the culmination of the former Prime Minister's birth centenary celebrations on Sunday.

The Rajiv Gandhi Chair for management of innovation in the department of Management Studies will promote further studies and projects on the subject.
