HYDERABAD:
The Hyderabad police task force officials on Thursday busted one more `telephone call termination racket' with the arrest of four persons.
The racket resulted in an estimated Rs. 1.26 crore loss to the Government ex-chequer, City Police Commissioner, A.K. Mohanty, told a press conference here.
Persistent raids by the task force teams based on inputs from the vigilance wing of the Department of Telecommunications brought down the number of such illegal international telephone calls from an average 300 to 20 a week.
"We hope to bring it to zero in the near future," Mr. Mohanty said.
