CAPEXIL award for WIPL

KANNUR:
Western India Plywoods Limited (WIPL) has won the award of the Chemical and Allied Products Exports Promotion Council (CAPEXIL) for its exports in 2004-05 in the fibre board category.
A press release by the WIPS here said the company had been awarded the CAPEXIL recognition for its exports of hardboard to the tune of Rs.834 lakhs during the fiscal.
The award was presented by Union Minister for Finance P. Chidambaram at a function in Chennai recently. WIPL managing director P.K. Mohammed received the award.
The release said the company had exported products to the tune of Rs.1,014 lakhs during 2004-05. WIPL also earned `one star' exports recognition of the Union Commerce Ministry, it said.
