Electoral revision from November 5

KADAPA: Revision of electoral rolls for 2006 will be undertaken after publishing draft electoral rolls on November 5, Collector G. Asok Kumar said on Wednesday.

Voter revision centres in urban and rural areas would be identified and voter lists supplied, he said in a statement. Forms IV, VII VIII and VIII A would be sent to post offices concerned, he said. Gram sabhas would be held from November 8 to December 4, when voters could file claims and objections, he said. Claims and objections would also be received at stipulated centres on November 12, 13, 26 and 27, he said.

The claims and objections would be disposed of by January 19, Mr. Kumar said. The new draft voters' list would be published on February 6. Final electoral rolls would be published on February 10, he said.
