Sangareddy: Union Minister and TRS leader A. Narendra on Friday succeeded in bringing about temporary truce between the warring groups in the party by pacifying Sangareddy MLA T. Jayaprakash Reddy to continue in the party. After an hour of cajoling, both `guru' and his prodigy addressed a joint press conference but with a different tenor. While squarely blaming the media for the Jayaprakash's episode, Mr. Narendra agreed that party legislators were not happy with the functioning of two nephews of K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Mr. Narendra said party legislators tolerated the first nephew (Harish Rao) but the second one (Umesh) was imposed on them. "I will talk to Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao on this issue before it snowballs into a crisis," Mr. Narendra said.
Dig at dailies
Coming down heavily on some vernacular dailies, Mr. Narendra alleged that their managements were purposefully creating confusion in the minds of Telangana people. "These trivial matters do not deserve the coverage they are giving," the TRS leader observed. Mr. Jayaprakash Reddy denied the reports that he was joining the Congress. He termed it the creation of media. He admitted that he was upset over certain developments in the party particularly with Mr. Harish Rao. "I am Narendra's man and will not tolerate any disrespect to my guru," he said.
