Accurate analysis

The article, `The State withdraws — at what cost?' (Nov. 8) is an accurate analysis of the country's political and economic situation. The living conditions of ordinary people have remained unchanged. Whether it is globalisation or GDP growth, it has little significance for the common man. For drastic changes, drastic action is needed. A vibrant, modern state needs statesmen who can rise above narrow considerations and lead the country proudly.
