Empee Sugar sales and profit up

CHENNAI: Empee Sugar and Chemicals has reported a net profit of Rs. 3.01 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 against Rs. 1.48 crore in the corresponding period in 2004-05. Net sales were higher at Rs. 36.13 crore against Rs. 3.40 crore. The operating profit stood at Rs. 4.51 crore against a loss of Rs. 37.90 lakh.
