Library Week celebrations put off

VISAKHAPATNAM: The celebrations in connection with the 38th National Library week, scheduled to be held from November 14 to 20, have been postponed due to the demise of former President, K.R. Narayanan.

The programme has been rescheduled and would be held from November 19 to 25,a according to the Gazetted Librarian of Government Regional Library, G. Krishna Reddy, on Tuesday.

The quiz competition for high school children would be held from 5 p.m. on November 20, the drawing competition for children below 10 years of age from 10 a.m. on November 22, the `Hasyavallari' for all age groups from 6 p.m. on November 22 and the elocution competition for college students from 10 a.m. on November 23.
