Power shutdown

The BESCOM has said that there will be intermittent power cuts from November 24 to 27 in B. Narayanapura, Nagwarapalya, Rahath Bagh, C.V. Raman Nagar, Kagadaspura, DRDO, CMH Road, Indiranagar I Stage, Byappanahalli, Kaderanapalya, Benaganahalli, Krishna Reddy Industries, Vijinapura, Venkateshwara Colony, Old Madras Road, Pai Layout, Udaynagar, K.R. Puram Railway Station, Byrasandra, Sudaguntapalya, Srinivaspura, Kasthuri Nagar, BDA Layout, East of NGEF Layout, Buvaneshwari Nagar, Krishnaiahpalya and surrounding areas.

Disconnection drive

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company has taken up a mass disconnection drive in the following areas and asked power consumers to settle their outstanding bills immediately: Bilekehally, Arakere, Hulimavu, Begur, D.C Hally, Mailasandra, Kothnur, Gottigere, Weavers Colony, Anjanapura, Avalahally, Agara, Thalaghattapura, Kaggalipura, Somanahalli, Tataguni, Bolere and surrounding areas.

Blood donation camp

The Regional Blood Transfusion Centre, Government of sKarnataka, along with the Rotary Bangalore Midtown and Bangalore Kidney Foundation, has organised a voluntary blood donation camp from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on November 26. The camp will be held on the premises of the Machine Tool Manufacturing Company, Bharat Fritz Werner Ltd, off Tumkur Road in Peenya. The camp is open to all eligible persons aged between 18 and 55 years and weighing 45 kg or more. For details, call 28395745.

Painting contest

The Regional Transport Office, Bangalore (Central) and Bangalore Silicon City Jaycees have organised a painting competition for school children from nursery to high school level to create awareness about "Hazards of pollution on our citizen's health and environment."
