Rs. 4,044 cr. FDI likely in mineral sector

NEW DELHI: The Union Government on Wednesday said it was expecting more than Rs. 4,044 crore foreign direct investment in the field of mineral prospecting, exploration and mining. The Foreign Investment Promotion Board has so far approved 73 FDI proposals following liberalisation of the mining policy, an official statement said here.
