IAS officers appear in court

HYDERABAD:
Three IAS officers and four other officers appeared before the Division Bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday in connection with the contempt case pertaining to illegal quarrying near Cheemakurthi area of Prakasam district.
The Division Bench comprising of Justice J. Chalameshwar and Justice Ramesh Ranganathan was dealing with contempt case filed by Gangadhar. The petitioner alleged that the High Court had directed authorities to stop the illegal quarrying and dumping of the material on the road margins. He alleged that there has been no improvement.
V. P. Jauhari, Special Chief Secretary, Revenue, K. V. Rao of Infrastructure Corporation, Udayalakshmi, District Collector of Prakasam, were the three IAS officers.
