Court seeks details on Polavaram oustees

Hyderabad:
A Division Bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday sought details of rehabilitation for people affected by Polavaram project and the clearance process at Central Water Commission (CWC).
A division bench comprising Chief Justice G.S. Singhvi and Justice R. Subhash Reddy was dealing with writ petitions filed by farmers' organisations complaining against the action against the State Government in going ahead with the Polavaram project.
The bench took a note of the fact that it took considerable time for the CWC to process the application. The bench wanted specific information regarding the funds allocated and other details for proposed rehabilitation. The case is adjourned to Thursday.
