Fire lit for warmth turns `killer'

HYDERABAD: Getting warm by fire in the wintry weather proved fatal for a person at LB Nagar on Sunday.

A labourer R. Nagaiah was sitting by the fire he lit outside his house at Leninagar on Friday. As the fire was not enough to beat the cold, he poured kerosene on the burning woods.

But suddenly, the entire bottle of kerosene caught fire and Nagaiah was engulfed in the flames. He was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital with serious burns and died on Sunday night.
