Indirect tax collections up 16 p.c.

NEW DELHI: Aided by the robust growth in the industrial and services sectors this fiscal, the Central Government has been able to mop up Rs. 1,19,642 crore in indirect taxes in the first eight months till November. This works out to an increase of 16.14 per cent as compared to Rs. 1,03,016 crore garnered in April-November 2004.
