HYDERABAD: The Government has drawn up an ambitious plan to showcase district-wise investment opportunities available in the State. Its development initiatives and the proactive climate would be presented to the non-resident Telugus at the fourth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas beginning here on January 7. Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, while disclosing this at a meeting here on Wednesday to review arrangements for the divas, emphasised to officials the need for coordination with the Prime Minister's Office and the Government agencies to prepare an action plan.
Woos investments
The plan should ensure success of the event and attract huge investment for industrial promotion, a press release issued by the Chief Minister's Office stated. Dr. Reddy suggested that a meeting of the coordination committee with top officials of the Overseas Indian Affairs Ministry be organised shortly to ensure a coordinated approach. According to him, the prestigious round table conference on chemicals would be held in Delhi on Thursday by the Foreign Direct Investment Group.
