MAKING A POINT: K. Haribabu, BJP national secretary, addressing the political training camp for leaders of Nalgonda district unit at Nagarjunasagar on Friday.
NAGARJUNASAGAR (NALGONDA): BJP national secretary K. Haribabu has said there is no scope for the formation of a third front as is being dreamt by TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu. Addressing a two-day political training camp for the Nalgonda unit leaders here on Friday, he said: "The former chief minister is dreaming of launching a third front. But, there is no scope for such a front."
Call to partymen
Mr. Haribabu called upon leaders to work with anti-Congress and anti-Communist forces. When the leader asked the gathering whether the BJP would come to power in the State, one of the activist said: "It is our fault. We should not have joined hands with the TDP." While admitting it, Mr. Haribabu said the party had suffered in the State due to its alliance with the TDP. "Since the support of 12 MPs of the TDP was crucial for the Vajpayee Government, we had to work with the party in the State," he observed. He exuded confidence that the party would come to power in the State in future and said that it was proved beyond doubt in Gujarat, Orissa and Karnataka that the BJP was the best alternative. Party district unit president Oruganti Ramulu said the training camp was intended to rejuvenate the cadre, whose morale was suffered after a series of electoral defeats. Party State president N. Indrasena Reddy and other would attend the concluding session, Mr. Ramulu said.
