Equipment given to railway hospitals

BHUBANESWAR: The Medical Department of East Coast Railway recently organised a two-day meeting of all its divisional in-charges to discuss about improving the infrastructure and treatment facilities.

Medical equipments such as ECG machine, nebuliser, glucometer, ambu bag and suction machines were distributed to all the 28 wayside health units of the Railway to develop medical infrastructure and treatment.

Inaugurating the meeting, General Manager of the Railway S.R. Chaudhuri emphasised the role of the doctor in medical examination of the railway employees, cleanliness at the station, train, maintenance of medical equipment and improvement in the working of hospitals.

Medical books relating to various subjects were distributed for the medical libraries of the divisional hospitals. Standard operating procedure of hospital working was also given to all divisional in-charges. Those who attended the programme include the divisional in-charges of Waltier, Khurda Road, Sambalpur and Mancheswar
