Woman kills two children, self

CHENNAI: A 24-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide after killing two of her children by pouring kerosene on them at Padi on Monday.

According to police, the victim, Banumathi, residing at Sathyavathi Nagar, Padi, had a quarrel with her husband, Selvaraj.

On Monday, she allegedly doused her children — Rohit (3) and nine-month-old Thirumurugan — in kerosene and set them alight before immolating herself.

Banumathi and Rohit died immediately while the toddler died at Kilpauk Medical College hospital later.
