WARANGAL: Tamil Nadu boys will play Karnataka while Haryana girls will take on Kerala in the respective finals of the sub-junior National volleyball championship being held here. In the semifinals on Tuesday, Tamil Nadu defeated Punjab 25-19, 25-16, 25-17 in a match that lasted 51 minutes. Karnataka downed U.P. 26-24, 25-21, 18-25, 25-19. In the girls' section, Haryana came back from a game down to beat West Bengal 20-25, 25-18, 25-8, 32-20, while Kerala swept aside U.P. 25-14, 25-17, 25-10. Other results: Boys: Third place play-off: U.P. bt Punjab 25-15, 25-18, 23-25, 25-18. Quarterfinals: Tamil Nadu bt Uttaranchal 3-0; Punjab bt Haryana 3-0; U.P. bt Rajasthan 3-0; Karnataka bt Kerala 3-0. Girls: Third place play-off:West Bengal bt U.P. 25-14, 28-26, 25-18. Quarterfinals: Haryana bt Karnataka 3-0; West Bengal bt AP 3-2; Kerala bt Punjab 3-0; U.P. bt Maharashtra 3-0.
