BANGALORE: Joining the price war, British Airways on Monday announced that it will offer return tickets from Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai to London at Rs. 14,500, with option to travel to other European destinations for an additional Rs. 3,000. In a statement here, the airline said a British Airway World Traveller (economy class) return ticket from Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai to London now costs Rs. 14,500 (plus taxes).
Other destinations
On payment of an additional amount of Rs. 3,000 and taxes, passengers can extend their journey to any destination in the U.K., or to Munich or Frankfurt. Passengers can also travel to any "online" destination in the U.S. for Rs. 35,000 (plus taxes).
Deadline
To make use of the offer, British Airways passengers must complete ticketing procedure before February 28 and commence their journey before May 31. Passengers can avail themselves of discounts in FIRST cabin, Club World and World Traveller Plus to London till March 31. Those travelling from Chennai to the UK, Europe, USA or Canada in FIRST cabin can get a discount of up to 50 per cent on current fares. But their return travel must be to Chennai and they should complete travel procedure before March 25.
From Bangalore
Passengers can avail themselves of a special fare package on their journey from Bangalore to the U.K., Europe, U.S. or Canada. A discount of 30 per cent on current published fares is being offered on return travel to Bangalore, the release said. In Club World, the Airways is offering 25 per cent discount on current published fare on routes connecting Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata or Bangalore to the U.K., Europe, U.S. or Canada.
Special fare
In World Traveller Plus, there is a special fare of Rs. 40,000 (return fare excluding taxes) on offer on routes connecting Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata or Bangalore to the U.K. and a few other destinations in Europe.
