Power shutdown

Due to replacement of electric poles, power supply will be affected between 10 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. on Wednesday in Idayathnagar, Mukthinagar, Sait Lane, Apparel Garments, K.G Halli, Venkateshpura, HBR 1st and 2nd Blocks, Yasin Nagar, Dhobi Ghat, Subash Layout, Kulappa Circle, Banaswadi main road and surrounding areas, according to the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company.

Career opportunities

MATS School of Information Technology, J.P. Nagar, will conduct a free seminar on career opportunities in IT industry for final year B.Sc. (Computer Science) and BCA students on its campus on Saturday between 9.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. Professionals from the industry will interact with students.

Health camp for elders

P.D. Hinduja Sindhi Hospital, Sampangirama Nagar, will organise a free health monitoring camp for senior citizens from February 13 to 18 with senior doctors and clinicians in attendance. Registration is on at the hospital.

Workshop

Psycho Clinic and Resource Centre, Banashankari 3rd Stage, will conduct a workshop on "Preparing and facing examinations" on February 11 between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Puskara, 281, Ring Road.

Meditation

Health check-up

Medinova is conducting a free health check-up camp for employees of Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board and their families on February 8 at Cauvery Bhavan from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Training

The first international chapter of the U.S.-based Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers was inaugurated on Monday. A delegation of more than 10 environmental, health and safety professionals from the United States is in the city to establish the Indian chapter and conduct a four-day course on hazardous materials management. They will teach the National Overview Course that is used in the U.S. to teach aspects of hazardous materials management.
