HYDERABAD : Besides the demand of statehood for Telangana, separate Andhra too is on the agenda of the BJP. The party will give a call for the twin movements on an even keel. It was contemplating an action plan in this regard, BJP leader in Assembly G. Kishan Reddy said. Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, Mr. Reddy said the party was in favour of splitting the State on administrative grounds. For the purpose, it would mobilise people of both regions.
Inchampally
The MLA said the party would raise basic public issues during the budget session of the Assembly beginning Tuesday. The `indifference' of the State Government towards irrigation projects of Telangana would be the thrust area. It would demand taking up of Inchampally project on a par with Polavaram. The BJP would highlight that Andhra Pradesh was the biggest State ruled by Congress independently but there was no funding to its irrigation projects by the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre. There was no financial closure to a single project.
