Search on for flag-bearer

Melbourne: Golden man of Commonwealth Games Samresh Jung's departure for the shooting World Cup in China has left the Indian contingent grappling with the problem of naming its flag-bearer for the closing ceremony on Sunday.

As per the convention, the highest medal winner in the contingent gets the honour of carrying the tricolour. Jung ruled the shooting ranges and bagged five gold, one silver and one bronze.

Being the highest medal winner, he was expected to do the honour but having left for China along with the pistol shooting team to participate in the ISSF World Cup, the officials are scratching their head to name a replacement. — PTI
