4 held on drug peddling charge

KOCHI: Four persons were arrested in different cases of drug peddling from the city on Saturday. Rafeeq, 30, and Anil Kumar, 42, were arrested by a team led by Palluruthy sub-inspector M.T. Xavier.

Around 75 ampoules were recovered from the accused. Two persons were arrested based on information provided to the City Police Commissioner over telephone that drugs were being brought into the city from Mattanchery in autorickshaw.

A police party arrested them while they were trying to sell the material at Kaloor. Those arrested were identified as Sudhir, 27, and Muralidharan, 26 .
