Private bus workers postpone stir

KOCHI: The stir called by private bus workers in Kochi on April 1 and 2 has been postponed to April 3 and 4. General secretary of the Private Bus Thozhilali Federation (AITUC) Joy Joseph said that area-wise stirs would be undertaken from April 5. The workers are demanding fair wages, since they work 14 to 16 hours each day. — Staff Reporter

Cruise ship in Kochi tomorrow

KOCHI: MV Queen Elizabeth, one of the biggest cruise ships in the world, will call at Kochi port on Monday carrying 1,795 passengers and a crew of 1,020. It will arrive from Colombo at 6.30 a.m. and set sail for Mumbai the same evening. — Staff Reporter

Admission to Kendriya Vidyalaya

KOCHI: The list of children selected for admission to Class I of Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Naval Base, Kochi, will be published on March 30.
