Muslim forum stages protest against firing

Lucknow: All-India Muslim Forum (AIMF) on Saturday staged a demonstration in front of the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha against ``the police excesses'' in Aligarh on April 6.

Addressing the gathering, AIMF president Nehaluddin blamed the Aligarh police for its ``communal and anti-Muslim'' attitude during the riots.

He demanded a judicial inquiry by a sitting High Court judge into the incident and stern action against the guilty policemen.

The forum also condemned the twin blasts at Delhi's Jama Masjid on Friday. — UNI
