Political parties prefer it short and straight

K.T. Sangameswaran

CHENNAI: Political parties are going in for short messages to woo voters in the coming State Assembly elections. Pamphlets containing the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) manifesto are being distributed to the public.

Promises in one sentence

The four-page pamphlet, which has done away with a lot of details, lists each of the party's election promises in one sentence.

As the party heads the Opposition alliance, space has been left on the last page to print the symbols of the various contesting parties in different constituencies.

Pamphlets containing the `Hammer and Sickle' symbol were distributed in the Chidambaram constituency.
