CHENNAI: Many students dream of studying in the famed Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). The joint entrance examination to enter the IITs is one of the world's toughest examinations. The number of students from Tamil Nadu in the IITs has so far been very small, because students here feel that cracking the IIT-JEE is beyond their capacity. Now, the IIT-JEE format has changed, and the Tamil Nadu State Board syllabus has also been enhanced, says Madhumati N of Aspire Learning Company. In this context, a seminar titled `The changed IIT-JEE pattern - an analysis, and tips for preparation' is being organised by Aspire at Karnataka Sangha School, Habibullah Road, T. Nagar, between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. on April 27. Students entering classes XI and XII can participate in the seminar, which will be conducted by veteran IIT trainers. The session will include a question-answer slot. Admission is free, but seats will be allotted on a first-come-first-served basis. To register, call 044 - 283422296 or 28341086.
