Krishnagiri: The Indian Army, Branch Recruiting Office, Coimbatore, will conduct an open recruitment rally for male candidates at M.G. Stadium in Salem from June 6 to 12. Recruitment is being held for the posts of soldier tradesmen, soldier clerk, soldier technical, soldier nursing assistant and soldier general duty. The educational qualification would be under Matric for soldier tradesmen and pass in SSLC for soldier general duty. The qualification for soldier clerk, soldier technical and soldier nursing assistant would be a pass in Plus Two with 50 per cent aggregate of marks in each subject. A release said the eligible candidates should have a height of 155 cm, 55 kg weight, and chest of 77 cm with an expansion of 5 cm. The candidates should reach the rally site between 5.30 a.m. and 7 a.m. for screening of documents on the dates allotted for concerned districts/categories. They should be born on or after June 11, 1983 and before December 6, 1988. The candidates should also bring original and attested photocopies of their mark certificates, community and nativity certificate, sports/NCC certificate and seven copies of passport size colour photographs. Sons of servicing/ex-servicemen/son of widows/war widows of servicemen and NCC certificate holders will be treated as priority candidates. The candidates should be prepared for one mile run and practice pull-ups on beam to secure maximum marks. Medical examination of physically fit candidates will be carried out at the rally site till June 2006.
