COIMBATORE: A close watch on the parking lots in the city paid off for the city police when they apprehended two persons who allegedly stole valuables from cars. On complaints of items vanishing from parked vehicles, the City Police Commissioner, Karan Singha, had ordered the monitoring of the parking lots. A team that kept watch on the lots across the city apprehended two persons - Chellaperumal (26) of Devakottai and Pradeesh (26) of Kerala. The police recovered valuables such as gold jewellery, a laptop computer, digital video disc player and mobile phones from them.
