U.S. to impose sanctions on two Indian firms
WASHINGTON:
The Bush administration has decided to impose sanctions on two Indian firms for missile-related transactions with Iran, U.S. officials said.
The disclosure came hours after the U.S. House of Representatives on Friday overwhelmingly agreed that the United States should sell nuclear technology to India and rejected a bid by critics to delay the vote over concerns that New Delhi was not cooperating sufficiently in U.S. efforts to contain Iran. - Reuters
