HYDERABAD: The Congress Legislature Party has ridiculed Telugu Desam Party's criticism of the Government on welfare of Dalits during the debate on LIDCAP lands in the Assembly. It claimed that the main opposition was trying to cover up the mistakes committed during its rule. Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Government Chief Whip N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and others wanted TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu to come clear on the lands acquired from Dailts by M/s Heritage Foods. Mr. Naidu should clarify whether he was willing to surrender the land or allow the Government to take the initiative. Recalling the `scholarship scandal' during TDP rule, he said the then Government had allowed vested interests to misappropriate over Rs. 50 crores in the form of scholarships for non-existent institutions.
